A Little About Home Value

We’ve all heard the saying: location, location, location. When it comes to homebuying, certain businesses and services can move into your existing neighborhood and drive down home values, or you could find home values are less in areas where such places exist. Realtor.com decided to take a closer look by comparing the median home price within zip codes near certain facilities.

Interestingly enough, the realtor.com study revealed home values were lower in a high-density renter area than that of homes near power plants, and that living in a bad school district topped the list of devaluing one’s home.
