Simple to Stunning: Inexpensive Laundry Nook

Simple to Stunning: Inexpensive Laundry Nook

Back to my favorite blogging couple! Their laundry area started as an “ancient washer and dryer” that was stashed behind a bifold door. When that bifold door was opened it blocked access to the back door… I can only imagine how irritating it would be loading the washer when the hubs was trying to come back in from mowing grass! That would obviously have to go! The picture included below shows the laundry nook with the bifold doors and wall above them ripped out. To update this space, the couple took the wall down and added inexpensive bamboo blinds to act as cabinet doors. Then just painted a piece of plywood which was placed on top of the front loader washer and dryer to create a counter space. It looks so good and cost next to nothing (except the cost of the washer and dryer).

I’ve included the before and after photos of their amazing transformation below but please check out their blog, for more pictures, at: http://www.younghouselove.com/photo-gallery-2/our-first-house/

If you are looking to remodel, you need to know your options not only for design but also for financing. Start by applying for a renovation loan to see what is available to you. https://www.my-loan-application.com/secured/start.cfm
