Confidence in Homebuying

By Morgan Saylor

If having the confidence to take the first step toward homeownership seems like a distant dream, then you should wake up. Those who lack confidence in homebuying could be missing out on the advantages of an otherwise opportune time to call yourself a first-time home buyer!

Spring homebuying is in full swing, according to PRN Newswire. Value Insured Insights conducted a survey in March 2016 of 1,157 U.S. adults to gauge confidence among men and women who were contemplating homebuying.

Of non-homeowners who wanted to own a home, women (at 77%, versus men at 70%) want to own a home, according to the survey findings. The findings also revealed men were slightly more confident than women (42% of men over 29% of women) that they could afford the down payment to buy a home.
