How To Paint Wood Paneling

Like many other home trends (shag carpet and lava lamps, to name a few) wood paneling might still be part of your present-day design scheme. It doesn’t have to be!

Diane, blogger of inmyownstyle.com, has created a detailed how-to for tackling the task of painting wood paneling from the 70’s.

Here are some of the supplies you’ll need:

  • Primer
  • Interior Semi-gloss paint
  • 2” angled paint brush
  • Smooth nap paint roller, roller cage, and tray
  • Drop cloths, ladder, painter’s tape
  • Detergent or TSP and water
  • Spackle, putty knife, sanding blog with 160 grit sandpaper OR Caulk
