Stockton Mortgage Corporation has invited Carl Carter Jr., to speak to area realtors about realtor safety.
In 2014, Carter’s mother Beverly, a successful realtor, was lured to a home in Little Rock, Arkansas, under the pretense of showing a house to potential clients. Days later, her body was found in a shallow grave.
According to the Associated Press, one of the individuals responsible for Beverly Carter’s death, when asked why she was targeted, responded, “Because she was just a woman that worked alone – a rich broker”.
Carl Carter Jr., has made it his mission to educate realtors, using the tragedy of his mother’s death as a reminder of life-saving precautions that should be followed when marketing themselves and meeting potential clients.
