TREND ALERT: Open Shelving

By Amy Patterson

Traditionally, the purpose of a cabinet or closet was to hide things that you don’t want others seeing – like dishes, snacks or other random oddities that were hard to find homes for. With an emphasis on quality, original, functional pieces, it not only looks beautiful, but it’ll force you to stay organized.

This style shelving is great for dishes and food storage.

But don’t worry if you don’t have an entire wall to dedicate to open shelving. Why not half a wall?

And if you can’t really swallow the idea of storing all of your dishes and food out for the world to see…check out these open shelves, that allow you enough storage for your favorite dishware, or to enhance a new focal point.
