Calling all Millennial Loan Officers

By Rick Koenig

BSMC11119If you’re a Millennial, working at a Bank or Mortgage Company that’s not helping with Technology and Marketing to other Millennials, we’d like to talk.

How would you like to help your friends achieve the American Dream and own a home and have a an IT\Marketing team that’s young and aggressive in using the top products available?

The definition of a Millennials age ranges according to the source but most define those born from 1980/1981 to 1994/1997. The Millennial generation’s massive size and strong purchasing power makes them a valuable segment of the housing market now and in the future.

Housing, the American Dream, is on the verge of having the most first time home buyers since the Baby Boom generation. These children of the Baby Boom generation are used to getting what they want now. Loan officers, especially Millennial aged Loan Officers, have the ability to help their generation buy their “Dream Home” now.

But…there aren’t many Millennials that are loan officers. With the average age range of Loan Officers being from 47-52 at most companies, there is an opportunity for Millennials to get in on the ground floor. Having been through the housing crisis, not many people wanted to be a loan officer. Loan Officers took it on the chin and have been equated with being the lowest level of sales people in the world. I take exception to this. “What we do is a noble profession” and “We help people Achieve the American Dream” is what a great mortgage banker used to say every Christmas at our annual mortgage bankers association dinner. And it’s true. Current and future millennial mortgage bankers have a great future to look forward to doing something noble (and making money doing it).

We’re offering loan products that other companies think are harder to do. These programs such as our Renovation programs, allow Loan officers to help their friends purchase a home and remodel it after the purchase all in one loan just like the show’s on HGTV.

If you’re a young Loan Officer stuck at a bank selling bank products, get licensed and sell something your friends really want and are going to need. How many professions allow every person you know to be a potential client? Call Rick Koenig at Stockton Mortgage and see what we’re doing.
