Patio Tic-Tac-Toe

By Morgan Saylor

If you’re barely into the throws of summer and you’re struggling to keep your kids (or yourself) entertained while outdoors, we’ve got a solution!

Patio Tic-Tac-Toe! Taryn with Design, Dining, and Diapers has created a fun DIY Tic-Tac-Toe game that’s great for summer, is inexpensive, and you can go as big as you’d like on this one! If your goal isn’t to entertain kiddoes, it’s good to note that Tic-Tac-Toe is enjoyable at any age – whip up this life-sized board game to play at your next cook out.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • 14X8” Board (or as large as you want to go with other items scaled appropriately)
  • Wood stain (Taryn used a dark walnut stain)
  • White Paint (with large & small paint brushes)
  • Wood sealer
  • 10 rocks (or patio pavers – again, depending on how big you want to go)
  • A bowl (or basket)
