Subway Tile How-To

Last week we found out that homes listed with subway tiles as a feature were selling like hotcakes! Taking heed of the market and home décor trends, here is a step-by-step how-to on creating a subway tile backsplash in your home!

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • White ceramic or white porcelain subway tiles
  • Tile saw
  • Sandpaper
  • A level
  • Pencil
  • Measuring Tape
  • V-notched trowel
  • Thinset
  • Tile nippers

The Life on Hill Street how-to author advises you have an extra set of hands prepared to help with measuring, leveling, tile cutting, and so on. This how-to requires some time and perseverance, but your end product should look like this:
