All About Succulents

By Morgan Saylor

There’s nothing to not like about a succulent. Succulents are plants that are made for people who don’t have a green thumb, but wish to reap the benefits of plant ownership (increased air quality, fun to look at, or whatever the reason for wanting a plant).

So for those who want to spruce up their living space but don't want to commit to needy greenery, consider the succulent as the pet rock of plants.

A succulent has typically thick, fleshy leaves and can contain a sap in their leaves or stems (think Aloe plants). Their roots are capable of surviving in the most unfavorable conditions, allowing them to survive in rocky or dry environments (which is why they are great for terrariums - which you can read about here).

Their resilience make them an excellent contender for a kokedama ball. And in terms of visuals, succulents come in a variety of colors and sizes.
