By Morgan Saylor

In 2015, we saw a lot of interesting design elements debut in kitchen design that, when combined, may be on the horizon in a big way this year.

According to Harper’s Bazaar, one of the 2016 tendencies to watch for is using mixed materials in kitchen design. Trading polished for eclectic, be on the lookout for rustic woods, combined with ornate rugs, mixed metals meeting more refined counter tops, and innovative kitchen storage solutions that go beyond your typical kitchen cabinet.
