DIY Reusable Disinfecting Cloths

By Amy Patterson

Last week, we gave you the steps for an easy transition to a paperless kitchen. And while the step-by-step had great ideas for replacing your paper napkins and paper towels, we realized there was one other huge thing that wasn’t covered – disinfectant wipes. These little guys make life so much easier with their grab and go convenience – and, even better, they disinfect easily.

Here’s what you need: (check out another mix here)

Squares of cloth – you can use scrap fabric from an old t-shirt or blanket

Container – old cleaning or baby wipe containers work well for storage

Castile soap – available at most stores or online

Tea tree oil – available at most stores or online

Here’s what to do:

Simply mix all of your ingredients together in a large bowl and pour over your cloths (in container). After they’ve been used, they can be washed with your other cleaning cloths or towels.

That’s it! You now have an easy, cheap, healthy alternative to store bought disposable wipes.
