Rescue your Window Sills
Have you ever known those people who seem to come up with the best solutions? Problems that maybe you hadn’t even considered as problems but with that one simple fix, what would have been a problem is not even a consideration? Ok, let me give you an example! We have a drooley, 80lb boxer and just moved into a home that has “snout” height windows. I didn’t consider the fact that he would be jumping up onto my window sills to bark at the approaching squirrels or drooling onto the paint. But you know who did? My sister in law!
She suggested that I follow her example and use inexpensive glass tiles from Lowe’s to cover my window sills. This is not only practical because it keeps the wood window sills from getting shredded by puppy feet but also, these guys can be popped right into the dishwasher which means I’m not trying to scrub the window sills to get the dried drool coating. GENIUS!
I’ve not done this yet at our house but she has had these tiles in place for at least a month! I’ve included a photo below and a link to tiles like the ones she used!
